Christmas lights

This morning, I saw Uncle Tibbs in the living room.

“Hey Uncle Tibbs! What are you up to?” I asked.

“Hi Ajdin, I’m just getting these Christmas lights out so we can decorate around here.”

“I wonder if these are still working from last year,” he said. “Let’s plug them in.”

The lights lit up the room brightly.

“They look good to me!” I said, admiring the lights. “But they look a bit tangled.”

“No problem,” said Uncle Tibbs. “I’ll just untangle them. Shouldn’t be too hard. Now, which end is which…”

“…I think it goes like this… err… wait… no…”

“Uncle Tibbs, do you need help?”

“I think I got it, Ajdin… just a little bit more of untwisting… if I take that end and loop it under here like this… that should fix it… I think…”

“…like this!”

I raised an eyebrow.

“Okay, maybe I do need some help,” he said. “Will you help get me untangled, Ajdin?”
